About Us

Kickin’ for Kids is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health and happiness of children facing pediatric cancer and immunologic blood disorders. We focus on four specific needs:

  • funding research
  • funding the National Marrow Donor Program
  • raising awareness of the need for marrow donors
  • funding outreach programs for children facing cancer and other serious illnesses

Our all volunteer group of family and friends has worked since 1995 to carry out our mission based on these objectives. It is a labor of love on behalf of the many children and their families dealing with the rigors of treatment for life-threatening cancers and blood disorders.

Our Mission

We create hope and happiness for children struggling to overcome pediatric cancer and immunologic blood disorders. By supporting outreach programs for seriously ill children, funding research and the cost of marrow donor testing, a child’s dream for a healthy, happy future can become reality.

Our Accomplishments

Since our fundraising began in 1995, generous donors, volunteers & supporters have helped us make the following grants:

• Testing for 100 marrow donors, which in more poignant terms means 100 more chances for a child without a related marrow donor to find a lifesaving match on the National Marrow Donor Registry

• Funded a $50,000 research grant for graft vs. host disease at All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL

• Donated more than $5,000 for pediatric cancer research through the Pediatric Cancer Foundation’s Sunshine Project

• Supported research into a cure for leukemia and blood disorders through the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society with more than $7,000 in donations

• Provided more than $10,000 in financial support to Camp Good Days and Special Times, an outreach camping program for children and families dealing with the incredible challenge of a pediatric cancer diagnosis.
